AXIS Q7424-R Mk II Video Encoder is a rugged one-to-four-channel standalone solution that enables flexible migration of analog cameras into an IP-based video surveillance system in challenging conditions. The video encoder is ideal for demanding applications such as traffic monitoring, city surveillance and airports. AXIS Q7424-R Mk II is designed specifically to withstand tough environments including vibrations, shocks and extreme temperatures. The video encoder operates in temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C (-40 °F to 167 °F). The video encoder offers H.264 and Motion JPEG streams at full frame rate in all resolutions up to D1 (720x480 NTSC or 720x576 PAL). H.264 greatly optimizes bandwidth and storage use without compromising image quality, while Motion JPEG is supported for increased flexibility. AXIS Q7424-R Mk II offers powerful event management capabilities with intelligent video features such as tampering alarm, motion detection and audio detection, in addition to AXIS Camera Application platform applications.

AXIS Q7424-R Mk II features an SFP slot for fiber connection, which gives installers flexibility to connect the video encoders cost-effectively to the network over long distances. In addition, AXIS Q7424-R Mk II has support for Power over Ethernet, which simplifies installation since only one cable is required for power. All four video channels provide pan, tilt and zoom support, enabling control of analog PTZ and PTZ dome cameras. The video encoder also includes a built-in memory card slot for edge storage.
