The MM-1276/1776 is an improved version of the MM-1271, with lower power draw yet increased functionality. It is a forward-looking design for modern systems that can use HDMI for display output, IPTV for video transport, and RS-232 serial for display control. (See the MM-1275 if you need support for legacy connections.) The MM-1276/1776 supports all the same MPEG sources, formats, containers, and bit rates as the MM-1275/1775. The difference is in the I/O connections.
